1.Overview
1.Overview
It looked like a simple therapy platform.
It looked like a simple therapy platform.
The real challenge was making a complex system feel simple. NexaTherapy was built from scratch to make online therapy easier to access - but behind a simple booking flow sat multiple roles, rules, payments, and safety considerations. My job was to turn that complexity into something clear and trustworthy.
I realised the therapy session was only one part of the experience. Users need to find the right therapist, while therapists need to manage sessions, availability, payments, and refunds. So, NexaTherapy became a bigger design challenge: bringing human care and complex healthcare operations together in one simple experience.

The experiences were different, but the system behind them had to stay connected - the same booking, the same payment, the same session, seen from three vantage points.

Client
Find a therapist, book a session, pay and attend therapy.

Manage availability, clients, sessions and professional information.

NexaTherapy had to balance two sides of the same experience: making people feel safe and comfortable while building the systems needed to support care responsibly.

The goal wasn't simply to collect information. It was to understand where people could become confused, uncertain, or blocked, and use those findings to shape a product that could remain simple for users while supporting the complexity behind it.

Clear
Users should always understand what happens next.

Trustworthy
Important information should appear when users need it.

Scalable
The system should support more roles, rules and features without becoming harder to use.

Trust needs to be visible.
